Catering Services & Policies


Menu Selections and Guarantees
Menu selections are due not later then fourteen days prior to the event. A final guarantee is due seventy two (72) hours prior to the event. Guarantees are not subject to reduction.  In the event a guarantee is not received, the original estimated attendance count will prepared and billed.

Service and Labor Charges
All applicable state and local taxes will be imposed and paid by the client. Food, beverage and staff charges subject to the current Utah state sales tax. Tax exempt groups are asked to submit a copy of their tax–exempt certificates when booking an event. A 20% taxable service charge applies to all orders.

Server Fees
Our experienced and professional staff is available at $ 15 per hour a 4 hour minimum. Billing starts at arrival time and ends after your event is completed. If your event should run longer than anticipated, your invoice will be appropriately adjusted. The balance of the adjusted invoice is due within 10 days after the date of your event.

Payment Requirements / Cancellations
A deposit of 50% is necessary to confirm the acceptance of the contract, unless prior arrangements have been agreed upon.  The balance is due seventy two hours (72) prior to the function with the final count. Non payment of either deposit voids the contract. Please note that last minute changes or extra labor charges may result in additional charges, which will appear on the final invoice. Any adjustments are payable upon conclusion of the event. We accept cash, company check, or a major credit card. Any cancellation within 30 days of an event the entire deposit will be forfeited.  If cancellation occurs thirty one days or more, 25% of the deposit is refundable. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

Food Tasting
The City Gourmet offers food tasting for just $ 40.00 per person this is for our time and expense of the tasting. The cost of the tasting will be deducted from your invoice once you have contract with The City Gourmet. We do not guarantee you will be able to taste items on your menu; a tasting is to sample our product and cooking style, not your menu.

Menu Prices
All menu prices are per person unless otherwise noted. Prices on our menus and website may be subject to change due to the market price fluctuation and product availability. Substitutions and additions on the menu will reflect price changes on the final invoice. If a client has any additions or substitutions to any order, we will update your invoice and resend for review and approval. The invoice total will reflect such changes. Plastic ware and paper products are included in our catering prices. Glassware, china, flatware and linen are available at an additional cost.
